NBA’s most stylish player hooks up with sneaker brand for deconstructed Pro Leather design drop
Following success of his “Chase the Drip” capsule collection earlier this year, the Oklahoma City Thunder point guard has produced a new design based on Converse’s coveted Pro Leather silhouette.
The result is a slightly distressed but fantastic looking version of the classic crep. The panelling of the shoe looks a little misshapen and each detail, from the famous star logo to the eye stays and the toe caps seems almost over-exaggerated, lending the shoes a funky, cartoonish look. This is certainly a shoe for street, not the court.
The leather along the side of the forefoot is quilted providing a great contrast with the smoother leather that runs behind. The sole is given a boost to almost platform height, following the recent fashion for a chunkier profile and the silk lining has a gorgeous gold, blue and white print to add a bit of luxury.
The release date of these magnificent beasts has yet to be revealed, but you can bet sneaker-heads the world over are primed and ready for one of the most anticipated sneaker drops of the year.
