Jessie Western is a brand with values we can really get behind. Their pledge? Minimal waste and no plastic.
Fittingly, with sustainability so important to them, leather features strongly in their collections. Artisan Western boots and belts, beautifully crafted cowboy boots and their signature ‘boot’ bags all showcase leather in all its sustainable beauty. Their glass beaded moccasins, made by Native American companies, have hide soles and soft leather fringing.
And, unsurprisingly for a label with such a heavy Western influence, super-soft suede is a big presence in their collections. Take your pick from tailored skirts, shawls, fringed jackets and shirts.
Launched by sisters Jessie and Vicky 25 years ago, Jessie Western has been selling a combination of jewellery and clothes designed by Jessie as well as by Native American artists and craftspeople – ensuring the designs are not only beautiful, but authentic.
Celebrity admirers of the label are too many to list, but Kate Moss, Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson, Brad Pitt, Anna Dello Russo, Erin O’ Connor, Jean Campbell, The Killers, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jordan Dunn, Johnny Depp, Dougie Poynter and Stella Tennant (to name a few) have all been spotted wearing Jessie Western clothes or accessories.
But despite all the celebrity attention, the focus of Jessie Western always returns to the fundamental values of the brand. As Jessie herself says: “We at Jessie Western make clothes to last, with quality and sustainable fabrics.”
Check out their designs at the Jessie Western shop at 82A Portobello Road or visit their online store here.
