The oldest of the LVMH luxury fashion houses, Spanish brand Loewe, continues to raise its ready-to-wear game beyond its roots of bags, perfumes and fashion accessories.
Established in the mid 1800’s by Enrique Loewe and group of leather craftsmen, the fashion house was granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment by King Alfonso XIII in 1905. It then became Loewe, Purveyor of the Royal Household of Spain.

Other royal and celebrity customers followed King Alfonso’s lead and the brand expanded into perfume and fashion—Ava Gardner, Ernest Hemingway, Sophia Loren, Rita Hayworth and Marlene Dietrich were all clients.
Giorgio Armani was one of Loewe first ready-to-wear designers, but creative director Narcis Rodriguez took the company to its first Paris Runway in 1988. The appointment of Jonathan Anderson to Creative Director in 2013 has continued to modernise the Loewe collections and the brand as a whole.
Collaborations with artists Beyonce, Rhianna and most recently a campaign featuring megastar actress Dame Maggie Smith have kept the house incredibly relevant. Loewe has had more than 800 million views on TikTok— with the hashtag #loewebag amassing more than eight million views.
