Leather at the heart of London Craft Week
The festival this October brought together more than 250 makers, designers, brands and galleries and leather featured strongly throughout!
Early last month, Louis Vuitton launched what was one of the most anticipated collections of 2020 (well, for us anyway). We’re no doubt excited about this: the elegant briefcase range just oozes sophistication with its seamless blend of casual and business styles, not to mention the gorgeous use of premium leather – one feature LV always seems to get right.
We’re not saying we don’t like the old-fashioned briefcases; we just like how this range of four bags, introduced by renowned artistic director and Off-White’s CEO Virgil Abloh, has redefined the business look for the modern man. And we’ve got to say: we 100% approve.
Offering the most contemporary design and with a sleek matte finish, iconic square edges and signature motif branding, the range has been designed to be functional and stylish all at the same time. If these chic accessories don’t make heads turn, we don’t know what would.

Despite the challenges of this year, the ‘Real Leather. Stay Different.’ design competition inspired such a volume of high-quality entries that it is to take place again next year and beyond.
Onwards and upwards – just look at what our design stars are achieving in the worlds of style and show business.
Modern technology often deceives us into thinking that new methods are always better but there are few folk that can make a case for traditional techniques like the Devonshire-based J & FJ Baker & Co, Britain's oldest-surviving leather tannery.
