For the first time, the Real Leather. Stay Different. Student Design Competition is launching in Vietnam. Following the success of the competitions in Asia in the China and Taiwan Regions, and internationally, we are on the hunt for the best new Vietnamese talent to harness the beauty and celebrate the sustainability of natural leather.
We at RLSD are thrilled to expand our search for young designers inspired by leather’s versatility, and delighted by the opportunity to further foster creativity in sustainable design practice. With a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern design thinking, Vietnam promises to fertile ground for unique ideas, where young talents can shine and reach the world.

Designs must be made of at least 50% leather from cow hide.
Any other materials used must be natural or organic materials, for example wood or any natural fibres.
No fur or exotic skins. Our mission is to cut waste and utilise materials that would otherwise be sent to landfill.
Designs will be judged hollistically on all materials used, these must be natural or organic where possible.
